FLAT/A 4S

Completed in 2025, the Four Seasons Residence Etiler project includes a selection of expansive residences featuring generous terraces and panoramic city views. KM DesignWorks was commissioned to design and execute the interior architecture of one such unit — a 475 m² apartment tailored to the lifestyle and aesthetic of its young professional owner.

The design direction was shaped by a masculine material and color palette that reflects the client’s refined taste. Drawing inspiration from traditional Japanese minimalism, the space was conceived as a sophisticated, contemplative environment — calm, deliberate, and deeply textural.

A key material in the project is brushed and smoked ash wood, used across wall panels and custom cabinetry. This treatment revealed the natural texture and grain of the timber, reinforcing the understated elegance of the design language and grounding the space with warmth and authenticity.

Throughout the apartment, a quiet yet expressive material palette — including natural stone, matte metals, and handcrafted finishes — evokes the wabi-sabi philosophy, celebrating imperfection, tactility, and the passage of time.

The interior seamlessly extends toward the terraces, creating fluid living spaces that open up to the Bosphorus skyline. As the daylight shifts throughout the day, so does the atmosphere of the space — revealing new depths and subtleties within the design.

Fourseasons Residence is a calm retreat from the intensity of urban life — a high-end residence that offers balance, introspection, and a quietly luxurious sense of place.
