SKYLOFT 4S

One of KM DesignWorks’ key 2025 projects, Skyloft 4S is a 750 m² single-floor penthouse located on the top level of Istanbul’s prestigious Four Seasons Residence.

As one of the largest units in the complex, the apartment features a private elevator access directly connecting the residence’s lobby to its entrance hall — a spatial element that required a custom design approach. This transition point was treated not just as circulation, but as a narrative threshold between the public and private, setting the tone for the entire interior experience.

One of the most striking architectural features is the apartment’s extraordinary ceiling height, which is accentuated by a specially molded cast-plaster ceiling form. This seamless surface conceals one of the apartment’s key edges, creating the illusion of a limitless backdrop. The result is a surreal, cinematic spatial frame that envelops the user in a calm yet intense atmosphere.

The main design concept draws from 1980s minimalism, infused with curated collectible pieces from various eras. This creates a bold and eclectic yet cohesive language — clean, structured lines softened by character-rich, expressive objects.

Abundant natural light entering from multiple directions plays a central role in the spatial composition. Together with the ceiling height, daylight becomes a structural design element — shaping the rhythm, depth, and emotional tone of the space throughout the day.

Skyloft 4S is a quiet yet powerful expression of refined contemporary living. It brings together timeless references and modern sensibilities in a layered, minimalist interior that offers both clarity and complexity — a bold retreat high above the city.
